Well, one thing that was unexpected upon traveling around Oregon is that it is legal and a well known event to be able to drive on the beach! Yep, we could take the vehicle and just drive right out to the ocean, park and enjoy the view. The first area we came across to be able to do this was right next to the ship wreck of the Peter Iredale. The little stretch to get onto the beach looked a bit sketchy with some pretty loose and deep sand which then led to a pretty packed main area of the beach. Well, I guess you could say these types of off-road adventures is one of the main reasons we purchased the 4Runner in the first place!! Well that and being able to tow the camper!
